About: Mugambi Nthiga
Mugambi is an actor, writer and director of theatre and film, and an instructor at ISA. His formal career began as a junior copywriter at Access Leo Burnett, after which he joined (then) Ogilvy & Mather East Africa and created campaigns for The Coca-Cola Company, Population Services International, GlaxoSmithKline and Diageo, receiving an APA Grand Prix award for work on the ‘TB ina Tiba’ campaign, and acclaim for his work on the Fanta ‘Bamboocha’ campaign. He would later pursue an MA in Advertising from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, and returned to Kenya to join ScanGroup as an account planner and creative, working on Nestle, EABL and Coca-Cola, after which he joined the Airtel creative team at Ogilvy Africa. He now makes films, theatre and commercial content for Africa.
