Creative Tools for BTL, Promotions, POP Activations, Events Concepts & Campaigns

It is commonly agreed that the most original and innovative creative ideas are those which break the rules and take an unpredictable approach. However, one could look at the issue from a completely different perspective and see that, underneath the obvious surface, these apparently unique creative ideas share some common patterns of thinking. Patterns that paradoxically help break the existing common molds and originate surprising and highly innovative ideas.

The approach:

The program examines the most effective & innovative award winning campaigns in the field of BTL, Promotions, POP and activations, and identifies the recurring thinking patterns behind the campaign ideas. Based on these patterns, it then offers structured and practical thinking tools for developing innovative, breakthrough, original ideas. The tools are then implemented by participants on challenging briefs and tasks.

The program:

This training program is designed to supply advertising professionals with practical thinking tools for the creation of innovative and powerful BTL, POP, Events and promotional concepts and campaigns, and to deliver and communicate them in effective and impactful ways.

The focus of this training is threefold:

  1. Inventing and developing new concepts for BTL and promotions for a brand/ product.
  2. Creating communication platforms to communicate the promotion.
  3. Use creatively various points of contact to engage and activate consumers in these promotions.

Training goals:

  • Gain some insights into that which makes some BTL and promotions ideas more successful and effective than others.
  • Teach and practice several thinking tools to create and develop innovative mechanics and concepts for original BTL /promotions/ POP activations.
  • Teach and practice several tools for creating communication platforms for promotions.
  • Practice and master creative thinking tools for using existing POP/POC resources in some unexpected and powerful ways to affect and engage
  • Learn tools for transforming passive viewers into active participants in the campaign.

 In each session there is an exposition of a new tool, through a presentation of selected case studies of highly creative& effective ideas and campaigns following the same pattern; followed by a small team work, applying the new tool on a challenging task/brief; followed by a session of team’s ideas presentation and trainer's feedback/comments.

Hand out material:

Each participant receives the Mindscapes tools app (see it here ), with a free access to all the tools presented and practiced during the training. The app include case studies of campaigns, the logic/rationale of the thinking tool, a step by step procedure for implementing the tool, examples, tips and suggestions when and how to apply the tool in real life.
