International School of Advertising announces Learn & Earn Advertising and PR boot Camp in Nairobi

International School of Advertising, the only finishing school for advertising, PR and Marketing professionals in East Africa will on the 19th of December 2015 hold a one day boot camp for industry professionals at Woodlands Kilimani from 8:am to 5:00pm. The boot camp dubbed Learn and Earn will draw participants from these fields and will be run by renowned industry experts.
The Learn and Earn program is an initiative by the school to align graduates with the expectation of the industry through personal as well as technical skills in the fields of Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations. Apart from just Learning, ISA’s promise is to provide placement for participants to Earn.
The Learn and Earn boot camp will provide participants with a golden opportunity to be win 10 student loans to join ISA for the January 2016 intake. The Chartered Institute of Marketing -CIM/CAM have partnered with ISA to integrate their content so that participants simultaneously get an internationally recognized certification. Mr James Ngomeli, Chairman of CIM, officially launched the initiative citing that the partnership also provides participants a pathway to becoming Chartered Marketers
"Since we began our graduate training ‘finishing’ program in July 2014, we have continued to receive very positive traction and response from industry. We are currently offering internship placement and absorption into permanent positions”. “We however need to create more interest in university students to participate in the program”, said the ISA CEO Susan Makau. “Companies have begun to book for students even before they are available, a sign the product is not only working but there is demand for it"
Universities were also urged to nominate the best students with a passion for a career in these fields to come for the boot camp where they will stand a chance to win the scholarships slots”. The closing date for the registration will be 11th December 2015.
The Advertising industry, fronted through the Advertising Association APA, was also represented by Chairman, Lenny Nga’nga who said that there are no institutions that offer programs that directly provide for the Advertising Industry, citing that this was the solution.
Some of the guests included Janice Kemoli, Marketing Director of Equity Bank, Margaret Ireri of the Marketing Society of Kenya and O. Dizon from Catholic University of East Africa, and students from Universities in Nairobi.
