Roles and Reporting
As a copywriter you will be responsible for responsible for the creation of engaging and compelling copy for advertising collateral across websites, display and social media ads, print, radio spots and video. This position is responsible for the creation of engaging and compelling copy. The job requires a strong understanding of the brand positioning and points of difference, and the ability to distill this information into consumer-relevant, focused communication.

The role reports to the Lead Creative.

Job  Overview
We are looking for a Chief Marketing Manager who will be responsible for planning and executing marketing campaigns, to acquire and retain customers by developing creative concepts, building campaign mechanics and segmentation
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop creative copy for campaigns aligned to client briefs and business goals
  • Leverage customer insights and expertise to create compelling campaigns
  • Work with the visual design team on customer point of view to ensure communication cohesiveness between design and message
  • Copy review and editing of existing client communication collateral
  • Identify fresh and interesting angles for content
The Individual

We are seeking an intrinsically motivated individual who is able to work in the agile environment of digital marketing. The individual must possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Excellent language proficiency - Knowledge of the structure and content of the desired language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar, in addition to advanced reading comprehension skills.
  • Above average communication skills - this includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media as well as excellent active listening skills.
  • Media Knowledge - knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.
  • An understanding of marketing and advertising - knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. Knowledge of marketing strategy and tactics across print and digital is needed along with current trends in product demonstration and sales techniques.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, possesses a high attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Detailed and meticulous in managing processes
  • A team player
  • A tertiary level certificate in communication and/or related fields with at least 3 years’ experience in writing at a reputable organisation.
